Medical Department

The Association takes a lead role in ensuring that all those that are involved in Ice Hockey have access to the latest information regarding injury prevention and all adhere to the latest medical procedures that have been put in place to protect the welfare of all those involved in the sport.

This web page is designed to provide you with the latest medical care details, download standardised forms for your use in the game and also provide a channel for those involved in rink side First Aid, injury treatment and rehabilitation to get together and improve the standard of care for our players.

The goal for the Association which conforms with IIHF is to create a safe and healthy environment for the operation of our sport.

From the start of 2008-2009 new medical procedures have been put in place to improve the level of care on offer to our players and there is a new structure in place to enable you to receive help.
